Griffith는 넓은땅이 발전가능성있는것으로 보고 Blewetts와 함께 땅을 구매합니다. 그 땅이 지금의 Fremont입니다. Fremont출신 사람들이 구매해서 Fremont사람들의 땅이됩니다. 1888년에는 그 땅이 시애틀도시범위 밖이었는데요. Lake Union에 산업이랑 시애틀의 성장속도로 보아 Fremont가 발전가능성이 커보였습니다.
